Hunger in America

Over 40 million Americans, more than 12 million children suffer from hunger.
One in four families in Maryland is food insecure.

The Lentil (Food Pantry) at the Iskcon of Baltimore

COVID-19  ICA Serving the CommunityICA tackles hunger in our community. We are committed to helping families in need.

At the ISKCON of Baltimore
July 18, 2020

ICA is dedicated to
SEVA (a Sanskrit word for service) to our community, and, social responsibility. We are deeply gratified by the support of the community, far and wide, with over 50 volunteers who supported our food distribution yesterday.

Thanks to the ISKCON team for being such gracious hosts. To characterize the event, there were cars lined up as far as the eye could see. We are humbled to be able to help our neighbors.

Special shoutout to Sridevi, Adarsh, Amit, Sangeeta, Chandni, Tanushree, Chaula, Nikhil, Yoshiko, Doug, Jerome, Karen, Kiera, Thomas, Michael, Tony, Greg, Parker ... and so many more whose names escape me - apologies. Thank you all for your dedication and service.

Our second food drive at the ISKCON of Baltimore is on August 8th between 10am - 12:30pm. One of the most important things we can do is to share the flyer with anyone who might need help.
